On the occasion of National Martyr’s Day

The Embassy of Algeria in Oslo commemorated today, February 18, the National Day of the Martyr in the presence of a gathering of members of the Algerian community in Norway

Where Surat Al-Fatihah was read to the souls of the martyrs; a minute of silence and the national anthem were observed.

The Chargé d'Affaires ai, Mr. Sayad Miloud, delivered a speech on the occasion in which he recalled the symbolism of this anniversary and its compatibility with the slogan chosen for this year "The martyr is an immortal soul and a pioneering march of loyalty", recalling the sacrifices of the Algerian people and the righteous martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the sake of freedom and independence of their country.

He also noted the great importance that the highest authorities attach to the national community abroad through the creation of the State Secretary for the National Community Abroad.

A symbolic tribute was also made to a member of the community who’s a son of martyr.
