The Embassy of Algeria in Norway Commemorates the 72nd Anniversary of the Outbreak of the Glorious November 1st Revolution with Members of the Algerian Community

As part of the commemorations marking the 72nd anniversary of the outbreak of the Glorious Revolution of November 1, 1954, the Embassy of Algeria in Norway organised, today, Sunday, November 8, 2026, under the supervision of H.E. Ms. Feriel Ryma Yousfi, Ambassador of Algeria to Norway, a ceremony in honour of members of the Algerian community residing in Norway.

The celebration took place in a fraternal atmosphere marked by feelings of pride and a strong sense of belonging to the homeland.

The ceremony was also marked by the screening of a video address by Mr. Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, in which he praised the historic role played by the Algerian community abroad in supporting the Liberation Revolution and defending the national cause.

In his address, the Secretary of State also emphasised the importance of preserving national memory and passing it on to younger generations, as well as strengthening the close ties between members of the Algerian community abroad and their homeland. He commended the attachment of Algerians living abroad to their homeland, their loyalty to its glorious history, and their determination to continue contributing to its service.
