Independence and Youth Day, July 5

On the occasion of the sixty-second anniversary of Independence and Youth Day, July 5, 1962, His Excellency the Algerian Ambassador to Oslo, Mr. Sher Kamal, held a reception at his residence in honor of the members of the Algerian community residing in Norway, where the flag was raised, the national anthem was heard, and Al-Fatiha was read, out of mercy for the souls of our honorable martyrs. It then included the screening of a documentary film about the occasion and the honoring of one of the Mujahideen as one of the first Algerians to immigrate to Norway during the sixties of the last century, in addition to distributing prizes for the children who succeeded in the drawing competition.
 In his speech on this occasion, His Excellency the Ambassador touched on the sacrifices made by the Algerian people and their struggle for independence and the current challenges, noting the economic reforms that Algeria has witnessed in recent years, especially those related to encouraging the youth of the community to enter the world of entrepreneurship and investment in the homeland, as well as Participation in the process of development, both social and economic.
 His Excellency also noted the great importance of the national community's participation in the upcoming presidential elections by exercising its electoral right.
