On the occasion of the National Victory Day

The Embassy of Algeria in Oslo commemorated today, March 19, the 63rd anniversary of Victory Day, March 19, 1962, under the slogan "In the footsteps of victory in loyalty to the march of the free people" in the presence of a group of members of the national community in Norway.

Where Surat Al-Fatihah was read to the soul of the righteous martyrs and a minute of silence was observed and the national anthem was played on this occasion.

The Chargé d'Affaires, Mr. Sayad Miloud, delivered a speech on the occasion in which he recalled the importance of this great anniversary, which records the great victory of the Algerian people over the brutal French colonialism after years of struggle and armed struggle.

Were also screened Clips from the documentary "Algérie, sections armes spéciales” directed by Clare Bailey, which documents the crimes of the French occupation in the use of internationally prohibited chemical weapons in its war against the unarmed Algerian people.

The ceremony concluded with a symbolic tribute to Mujahid Bagul Ali, one of the first members of the Algerian community living in Norway.
