Algeria, Special Guest of Honour at the Nordic-African Business Summit 2026 in Oslo

Algeria participated today, 8 October 2026, as a Special Guest of Honour, in the Nordic-African Business Summit (NABS 2026), organised by the Norwegian-African Business Association (NABA) in the Norwegian capital, Oslo.

The Algerian delegation was headed by Mr. Sid Ali Khaldi, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, who held a meeting on the sidelines of the Summit with Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Espen Barth Eide, in the presence of the Ambassador of Algeria to the Kingdom of Norway, Ms. Feriel Ryma Yousfi, and the Ambassador of Norway to Algeria, Ms. Thea Ottmann.

The Minister also participated in a high-level panel discussion on the theme “Pan-Africanism Now: Sovereignty, Trade and the Ownership of Africa’s Resources”, during which he highlighted Algeria’s efforts to strengthen its food sovereignty, valorise its national resources, diversify its economy and develop its production capacities, particularly in the agriculture and fisheries sectors, as well as the reforms and strategic projects undertaken to promote investment and achieve food security. In this context, he emphasised Algeria’s pivotal role in supporting African economic integration and strengthening development partnerships among the countries of the continent
