Commemorating the 64th Anniversary of Independence and Youth Day – 5 July 1962 - 2026

Today, the Embassy of Algeria to Norway commemorated the 64th anniversary of Independence and Youth Day, observed on 5 July 2026.

The ceremony commenced with the playing of the Algerian National Anthem, followed by a minute of silence in tribute to the martyrs of the glorious War of National Liberation. The participants then recited Al-Fatiha in memory of their pure souls.

On this occasion, Her Excellency Ambassador Feriel Ryma Yousfi delivered a speech in which she paid tribute to the immense sacrifices made by the Algerian people in their struggle for freedom and the restoration of national sovereignty.
